The Auth Street Series – “Grandma’s Place” (posted on 10*12*12)
Today’s piece is titled “A Place.”
Is there a place where one may dwell … A journey free from quarrels n’ strife … A land where grass is grown for hay … and a brisky breeze gently blends its blades … A place where the sun’s rays spray priceless jewels … And pure white clouds glide cautiously by … Where wickedness and evil is rebuked … Where doubt and curiosity do not reside … Is there a place free of pitfalls n’ devastation … A utopia far away on a mountain top … And at the end of a colorful arc, in the mist … Is there a place I’ll find my Mom and Pop?
